Ranking Of The Best Higher Educational Establishments In Ukraine

The Ukrainian magazine Correspondent has made a university ranking of the best higher educational establishments of Ukraine based on the opinions of experts and employers.

Which of the establishments would be included into the list of the top universities of Ukraine this year would be decided by the major employers in the country. Most of the university-entrants are orienting at them when choosing their future occupation and striving to begin their career from the first days of their studies.

The first place takes the National Shevchenko University of Kyiv. It is followed by the Hetman Kyiv National Economic University. The third leader is the National Kyiv Mohyla Academy.

The fourth and the fifth places are taken by the Kyiv National Polytechnic University of Ukraine and the Kyiv National Trade and Economic University in the designated order.

Trying to select the best higher educational establishments, the Correspondent has interviewed 21 companies, which were among the best employers of Ukraine (according to the rating carried out by the magazine in 2007). They named the best educational establishments, which level of attainment is considered to be the highest and which graduates they would be more willing to employ.

Personnel managers of each of these 21 leading companies have determined 5 best, from their point of view, higher educational establishments. In order to be more objective the rating was differentiated according to the business fields: production industry, banking, trade, communications, insurance. The table of aggregated scores “TOP-10 universities of Ukraine” was created on the basis of this differentiation.
