The annual ranking list of Universities and Higher Educational Establishments has been announced by the UNESCO for Higher Education in Ukraine.

The experts have determined the ranking by three indicators: quality index of scientific and teaching potential, teaching quality, and the index of international recognition. Scores for each indicator are weighted and then arrive at a final overall score for an institution.

The top of the list is National University of Kiev named after Taras Shevchenko, which got the best quality index of science and teaching potential (70,08 scores).
The second University in the list is National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnical Institute” with the best index of teaching quality of 70,06 scores.
The third is Kharkiv National V.N.Karazin University.

The following Universities came to the top 10 Higher Educational Establishments of Ukraine:
Bogomoltsa National Medical University of Kiev, National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, Dnipropetrovsk National Mining University, Donetsk National University, National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy, Kiev National Agrarian University.
